GASTONIA, N.C. – Police have arrested two juveniles in connection to the murder of a 68-year-old Gastonia woman. Pamala Shanks was standing on her back porch on Hillgate Avenue when she was hit and killed by gunfire on the night of October 19th. Police say she was not the intended target.
Investigators say one of the juveniles was arrested last Friday at Dulles Airport near Washington D.C., while he was attempting to leave the country for Africa. The second juvenile was arrested Tuesday in upstate South Carolina.
No other information is being released because of the suspects’ ages.
