Metcalf Builders Breaks Ground on Affordable Housing Development in Reno

Metcalf Builders, an award-winning regional general contractor based in Reno, Nevada, has broken ground on Skyline Flats, an affordable housing development that will bring 402 new residential units to Reno.

Developed in partnership with Dominium, the 570,663-square-foot development will feature 14 residential buildings offering a variety of unit types designed to provide long-term housing stability for individuals and families. Each unit will include in-unit laundry and durable, modern finishes, combining comfort and functionality with affordability.

The development will incorporate modern energy-efficiency, accessibility and life-safety standards throughout.

Construction of Skyline Flats is underway, with completion anticipated in January 2029. Once complete, the development will provide 402 new affordable housing units, contributing to ongoing efforts to expand housing opportunities throughout Northern Nevada.
