INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis rapper Chauncey Kory Graham, known as 4200Kory, has made a name for himself with a Naptown anthem and national advertising campaigns. This weekend, he will headline his first show in his hometown.
“FAR FROM IGNANT” is scheduled for Sunday at Turntable in Broad Ripple. The event will feature an all-Indianapolis lineup and a voter registration initiative.
“There’s no other Far East. There’s no other 317,” Graham said. “October 25 I get to stand all 10 toes on that at my own show.”
Graham grew up near 42nd Street and Post Road, building a following rooted in the Far Eastside neighborhoods that shaped him.
His debut album, “Cobra Son,” was released in August 2025. His 2026 follow-up, “4UBU,” further established him as one of Indianapolis’ distinctive hip-hop artists.
His song “Well Raised,” known locally as “Naptown Baby,” was featured in an Adidas advertising campaign, a notable milestone for an Indianapolis hip-hop artist.
“Kory’s got a Naptown anthem, and this city doesn’t hand those out,” said Nigel Long, founder of SoundOff Naptown, which is co-presenting the show with Slum Baby Family. “He’s been on a run we haven’t seen from a hip-hop artist here in a long time, and we wanted to put a room and a full hour behind it while it’s happening.”
The show will feature artists representing Indianapolis’ Far Eastside hip-hop community:
All four are part of the Slum Baby Family collective, which has built momentum through grassroots performances and local collaborations.
The event also will feature voter registration and civic engagement efforts through Naptown Votes, a nonpartisan initiative focused on communities often overlooked in electoral outreach.
“Everybody in that room can vote, and most of them are exactly the people who get talked about in campaigns and never talked to,” Long said. “If you want to reach them, you go where they actually are.”
Voter registration staff will be available throughout the event.
